Two Memorable Raisings at Onward Lodge
Our two most recent regular Lodge meetings, held in September and October, have been outstanding occasions, each featuring an excellent ceremony of Raising followed by a thoroughly enjoyable Festive Board.
At our September meeting, Bro. Wayne Chadwick was raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason, followed in October by Bro. Jason Yeoman, who likewise reached this significant milestone in his Masonic journey.
Both ceremonies were conducted to an exceptionally high standard by a dedicated team of Lodge Officers. Particular recognition must go to W. Bros. Egan, Griffiths and Lock, who, at the request of the Worshipful Master, Bro. Ben Porter, undertook the principal parts of the ceremonies. Thanks are also extended to Bro. Langford for his delivery of the Working Tools, and to W. Bro. Hardingham for his faultless rendition of the Traditional History.
The quality of both ceremonies was a testament to the commitment, preparation and teamwork of all those involved. Bro. Chadwick and Bro. Yeoman also played their respective parts with great confidence and aplomb, contributing to two memorable evenings for everyone present.
As always, the Festive Boards provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy the fellowship, good humour and friendly banter for which Onward Lodge is renowned. The evening raffles also helped raise valuable funds in support of both Masonic and non-Masonic charities, demonstrating once again the importance of charitable giving within our fraternity.
On behalf of the Lodge, congratulations are extended to Bro. Wayne Chadwick and Bro. Jason Yeoman on achieving this important milestone in their Masonic careers. We wish them both every success and enjoyment as they continue their journeys in Freemasonry.
Two excellent evenings, two memorable ceremonies, and a wonderful reflection of the friendship, teamwork and charitable spirit that lie at the heart of Onward Lodge.
