Last night Onward Lodge hosted a fantastic social event – a spy / detective themed murder mystery night. The hall was decorated to the theme and clues scattered around the hall.

The hall was packed out with just under 70 attendees including brethren and guests.

The feedback from brethren and the guests has been absolutely fantastic and shows as a credit to the current Worshipful Master Kieron Griffiths.

A tough case to crack

We had a number items to gain clues from deciphering emails to a number of live actors that were available to be questioned to gain clues to help solve the murder. A few questionable accents too!

Money raised

In total we raised over £700 last night, which as everyone knows – is crucial to help the running of the hall and also help us to keep contributing to masonic charities – which also helps to raise awareness for the good of freemasonry.

Our next event

Our next event will be our Summer Family BBQ This is held during the ‘summer recess’ (the break in-between our April and September meetings), held on Saturday 13th July.

It’s an afternoon of friendly banter and family fun over a glass (or two) of something cold and some tasty grilled offerings.

This is a great opportunity for social interactions and developing friendships away from the ‘Masonic business’ side of the Lodge.
